Well hello there! My name is Amarilis but I like to be called Ril for short. As you’ve probably guessed the name of my blog is a clever little pun off the commonly used phrase, “a stitch in time saves nine.” This has proven to be quite the ironic twist because I am not a frequent blogger.
Currently, I am a graduate student at NYIT. I’m studing Communication Arts with concentrations in PR, Advertising and Computer Graphics.
Eventually, I would like to start my own non-profit foundation that enables adults who otherwise would not be interested in the arts to receive education in a unique setting: museums. Creating a partnership with museums and galleries around the nation, this organization would help fund unique programming and break the common barriers one often encounters when engaging in conversations about the arts.
In the mean time, I’m cultivating experiences! Learning a little about everything has been my method of madness as of late. So if you have a suggestion, article, event, opportunity, or anything at all, I would love to hear it.
